1. Get traffic from sources that are very targeted. You need to be sure that your target market is hanging out there.

2. Search engine traffic converts into leads and sales extremely well because they are actively looking for a solution to their pain right then and there. They are looking for your pain reliever.

3. If you want instant traffic you will have to borrow it or pay for it. You can borrow traffic by getting someone to promote your product. You can buy it from search engines and other websites.

4. Test Test Test. Always test any traffic you buy with a small amount first, then if that traffic converts well, you only have to buy more of it. If it doesn’t you only tested a small amount. Cut off the traffic sources that aren’t converting and ramp up the traffic buys from sources that are converting well.

5. Referral traffic is the best traffic you can get because it’s free. Word of mouth can spread quickly, and the traffic converts into leads and sales at a much higher rate than any other traffic.

6. You can send offline traffic to your online website. Many people forget that just because they are an online business they can’t advertise offline. Not so! You are a business and you should advertise it in any effective mediums. You can find some really, really great places to advertise your business offline.

7. Giving away something free is an extremely effective way to generate traffic and leads. Giving away information is the best thing to give away because it can be adapted to any business or situation, it’s cheap or free to give away, allows you to educate the reader on your business or product and how it can benefit them. Free information can also tip the word of mouth traffic source into your favor.

Learning how to generate traffic is critical to your success as a business. Think of it like a brick and mortar store. If no one comes into the store to buy, then how will they ever make sales?
